What is on it
Each of these is what this flag's own Wikipedia article says is on it, the sentence is underneath, so you can see what it rests on.

What we know about it
The flag of the Federal Republic of Central America was flown here until 1851, when a pro-Spanish faction added the Spanish colours to it; the original colours came back on 17 August 1871, restored as vertical rather than horizontal stripes so that the flag could be told apart from others, and with a new coat of arms. That coat of arms carries the resplendent quetzal, a parchment scroll bearing the date 15 September 1821, crossed Remington Rolling Block rifles, a bay laurel crown and crossed swords, one of only four flags among UN member states to show a firearm.

Its day
The almanac keeps a page per day of the year that something is dated to. This flag is on one of them, with the sentence that says so.
Nearest in the world
Every flag is compared with every other one, off the pictures themselves. Two copies of one picture score 0; these are the closest to this one. How that is measured.
