In the order they are played, and with no names on them — a flag without its name is the question rather than the answer. This board was worked out from the date alone, which is both why it could be written before the day and why everybody gets the same ten.

How the day's ten are chosen

From the date, and from nothing else. There is no server picking today's flags and no list anybody keeps: the date is the seed, and the same ten fall out of it on every phone and every browser in the world. That is what makes a score comparable — and it is why this page works with the network off once it has loaded.

Two from each rank, so a day is never five territories in a row. The ranks are the app's own teaching order, from the flags most people already half-know to the ones nobody guesses, and the ten come easiest first.

The wrong answers are the ones people really confuse. Each flag is offered beside the flag it gets mistaken for, then a neighbour, then somebody from the same rank — and the four names are built from the date too, so the person you are comparing scores with saw exactly the same four.
