How it is put together
Nothing the measurement has a word for. It reads eight shapes off a picture: bands, a canton, a wedge at the pole, a disc. This flag is not any of them, so the space is left empty rather than filled with a description nobody took. The finder says what else it cannot see.
What is on it
Each of these is what this flag's own Wikipedia article says is on it, the sentence is underneath, so you can see what it rests on.
- star
The national flag of Tuvalu is a light blue field with the Union Jack in the canton and nine yellow five-pointed stars on the fly (right) half of the flag.

What we know about it
Vione Natano designed the flag adopted at independence on 1 October 1978, exactly three years after the Ellice Islands separated from the Gilbert Islands. The government of Prime Minister Kamuta Latasi brought in a new one on 1 October 1995, intended as an appropriate precursor to Tuvalu becoming a republic; it proved unpopular among many Tuvaluans who supported the monarchy, and residents of the island of Niutao chopped down a flagpole after it was raised. Bikenibeu Paeniu promised to revert the change and ousted Latasi in a motion of no confidence in December 1996, and on 11 April 1997, after a 7 to 5 vote in parliament, the flag adopted at independence was restored.

Its days
The almanac keeps a page per day of the year that something is dated to. This flag is on 3 of them, with the sentence that says so.
Nearest in the world
Every flag is compared with every other one, off the pictures themselves. Two copies of one picture score 0; these are the closest to this one. How that is measured.
