How it is put together
Measured off the picture, the same way the colours were, not from anybody's description of it.
- a single-coloured ground
The fly edge and the foot are one colour, and the same one, whatever else is drawn on top of it.
What we know about it
Since 1 December 1932 the triskelion has been the island's official flag, based on the Manx coat of arms, whose own date is the 13th century. In Manx the three legs are known as ny tree cassyn. The symbol is anciently closely associated with Sicily (whose most ancient name, Trinacria, meant three-cornered in Greek) and it appeared on the Isle in the last third of that century, which may well be connected with the regime change of 1265, from Crovan to Scots kings. No evidence exists of the Crovan dynasty using the triskeles; members of it are known to have borne ships and lions on their seals.

Its day
The almanac keeps a page per day of the year that something is dated to. This flag is on one of them, with the sentence that says so.
Nearest in the world
Every flag is compared with every other one, off the pictures themselves. Two copies of one picture score 0; these are the closest to this one. How that is measured.
