How it is put together
Measured off the picture, the same way the colours were, not from anybody's description of it.
- a single-coloured ground
The fly edge and the foot are one colour, and the same one, whatever else is drawn on top of it.
- a canton
A rectangle in the top corner by the pole that is not what the rest of the flag is, and that stops cleanly on both its sides.
What is on it
Each of these is what this flag's own Wikipedia article says is on it, the sentence is underneath, so you can see what it rests on.
- coat of arms

What we know about it
A Royal Warrant of 15 November 1960 adopted the flag, after the islands were made into a separate British colony; until then the territory had been administered as part of the British Leeward Islands. The coat of arms on it dates to the early nineteenth century and features Saint Ursula holding a flaming oil lamp, with a further eleven lamps around her for the 11,000 virgin followers, the followers Christopher Columbus named the islands after when he arrived in 1493. The motto reads Vigilate, which translated from Latin is be watchful, and the shield was enlarged and outlined in white in 1999.

Its day
The almanac keeps a page per day of the year that something is dated to. This flag is on one of them, with the sentence that says so.
Nearest in the world
Every flag is compared with every other one, off the pictures themselves. Two copies of one picture score 0; these are the closest to this one. How that is measured.
