Colours
Read from the flag itself, down to the exact shade.
- #c8102e
- #ffffff
- #012169
Other flags with red, white or blue or all of red, white and blue at once.
How it is put together
Measured off the picture, the same way the colours were, not from anybody's description of it.
- a single-coloured ground
The fly edge and the foot are one colour, and the same one, whatever else is drawn on top of it.
- a canton
A rectangle in the top corner by the pole that is not what the rest of the flag is, and that stops cleanly on both its sides.
What is on it
Each of these is what this flag's own Wikipedia article says is on it, the sentence is underneath, so you can see what it rests on.
- coat of arms
It is a British Red Ensign with the Union Jack (which is the national flag) in the upper left corner, and the coat of arms of Bermuda in the lower right.

What we know about it
Bermuda's red ensign was first adopted on 4 October 1910; before that, like most of the British colonies at the time, it flew a blue ensign whose seal depicted a dry dock and three sailing ships. The current form, with an enlarged coat of arms, came in 1999.
Drafted from Flag of Bermuda on Wikipedia, as it read on 2026-08-26, and checked back against it: every date, name and number above appears in the sentences it was written from. Nobody here wrote it by hand.
Its day
The almanac keeps a page per day of the year that something is dated to. This flag is on one of them, with the sentence that says so.
Nearest in the world
Every flag is compared with every other one, off the pictures themselves. Two copies of one picture score 0; these are the closest to this one. How that is measured.
