What we know about it
This is the third flag used since independence from the United Kingdom on 29 June 1976, adopted on 8 January 1996. The original had alternating blue and red triangles and closely resembled the flag of the Australasian United Steam Navigation Company, whose ships regularly visited the islands in the early 20th century; when president James Mancham was overthrown by France-Albert René in 1977 it was abolished, and a red, white and green flag based on the Seychelles People's United Party's came into use, with a distinct wavy white stripe. The colours are those of two major parties: red, white and green from United Seychelles, blue and yellow from the Seychelles Democratic Party.

Its days
The almanac keeps a page per day of the year that something is dated to. This flag is on 2 of them, with the sentence that says so.
Nearest in the world
Every flag is compared with every other one, off the pictures themselves. Two copies of one picture score 0; these are the closest to this one. How that is measured.
